Winter Walk

This winter, one of my goals is to get out of the house every day, no matter what the weather.  Today, I put on my brown duck insulated overalls, two coats, my olive-green gum boots and venture out.

Following ice and snow storms the last few days, the world around me is glorious. The snow is dusted with diamonds, sparkling in the sunlight.

In any other season, multiflora rose bushes are a menace, catching my clothing, until I pull myself loose. These smooth, iced-over  rose branches pose no threat at all and let me pass by peaceably.

Ice-gilded trees glitter overhead. I breathe in the crisp, clean air and take in all the glorious sights surrounding me. It's a wonderful day for a winter walk!
